In an increasingly fast-paced and demanding world, aging seniors are confronted with the need to keep up while experiencing health and lifestyle changes. Heart and Home makes the transition easy.
Our foundation is built on strong cultural values of respect for the elderly and a deeply rooted sense of responsibility to care for them. For us, caregiving is not merely a 9-5 job. At Heart and Home, caregiving is a way of life.
To be entrusted with your loved one’s care and well-being is a privilege and a responsibility we take seriously. Our well-trained Care Professionals are not only task-efficient but are also engaged, empathetic, and compassionate. Heart and Home offers you and your loved one service with a whole lot of heart.
Founded by a nurse with several years of experience in the clinical as well as home care setting, our primary goal is to enhance your loved one’s quality of life at home. We achieve this by ensuring safety and providing optimal assistance where needed; encouraging independence; and maintaining dignity and integrity.
You and your family are at the core of our service. In our commitment to quality care, we will always seek ways to excel through continuous education and collaboration with local community and government resources. We adhere to higher standards of care by being licensed, certified, and accredited.
Our care team is undeniably our greatest asset and we value each member as such. To ensure their health and well-being, we offer wellness programs coupled with strong administrative support. As a non-medical organization, the State of California does not mandate CPR/First Aid Certification, but we encourage our caregivers to obtain training in these areas. Heart and Home also offers tuition reimbursement for qualified caregivers who wish to obtain their Home Health Aide Certification and rewards excellence through bonuses and pay raises.
In rendering services, no one size fits all. We customize our non-medical care to match your loved one’s needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
Progressive Memory loss and behavioral changes can be distressing to both client and family members. The inability to verbalize thoughts and feelings causes frustration that can lead to anxiety. Our experienced caregivers are trained to provide appropriate distraction techniques while maintaining a calm and safe environment.
When your loved one is diagnosed with a terminal illness where curative options have been exhausted, the primary physician might suggest hospice care. The care focus then shifts to pain management and comfort measures. During this difficult time, Heart and Home will work closely with your loved one, your family, and the Hospice team under the direction of a physician to achieve these goals. Our compassionate caregivers are experts in anticipating and providing non-medical comfort measures.
As part of our health and safety program, caregivers are trained, among other things, on Infection Control. This is done during the new hire process and annually through informational videos, one-on-one conferences, and supervisory visits. Communication and feedback are highly encouraged between family, caregivers, and the agency to ensure maximum delivery of care and client satisfaction.
With everyone's health and well-being in mind, all our Care Professionals are fully vaccinated and well-versed on the proper use of PPE and personal protective measures following CDC guidelines. Isolation and prompt reporting to the office of anyone experiencing COVID 19 symptoms are strictly observed.
Allow us to lighten your load so you and your loved one can spend more quality time together. Whatever gives you joy, we’re here to help you make it happen.
